Creating a Brand With Brand Anchor Links

So I have been playing around with xtranormal.com and decided to do a blog post in their video format. Hope you understand it, basically it just explains how you can increase your brand by not just focusing on keyword targetted anchor links but rather obtaining brand domain anchor links.

I.E. The reason sites such as Toyota, Ford etc have seen a brand boost is because the majority of their links if not all of them link back with their brand domain name. So as an example if I registered djsdjsndjsndj.com, youwould look at getting anchor links for djsdjsndjsndj to increase your brand rating.

I recently published an article on anchor links and explained how you can get non competing keywords by using the Google Keyword Tool. You would be surprised how many different phrases are getting good search volume and they have little competition.

Well I must admit, the video made me laugh. Well done there, though I don’t think it’ll be in the running for any awards :P

As for the actual topic, great idea. I started by buying a strictly SEO domain name, so my brand actually represents my targeted keywords for the most part. That has helped a lot, and I started out just advertising the brand with anchor text. Now that I have that ranking set in stone i’m working on a close, but no the same search term. I’m finding it rather hard, but overtime hopefully it’ll increase.

Thanks again for the tip, great for people just getting into SEO and for those of us who need a friendly reminder every now and then.

I like the video. I actually believe in the concept of strengthening your links using brand to boost the brand rating.

isnt it ! wow, then i need to try those keywords too, till now i was thinking that online marketing is only possible with those companies who are famous with their brand names, i was searching some damn things that could really help me, thanks..

Hello, good information. I really like the video :P . I’m going to try this out by using it on my website :) .

Great point. Most link building solely focuses on driving traffic through topical keywords. Branding for most sites wouldn’t take very much effort and could pay tremendous dividends when selling a site.

I’ve heard this before but never really believed that going for a brand in my anchor text could help more than using good keywords in anchor text.

I can definitely second that the Google Keyword Tool is a great source, I’ve increased my SEO practices a ton by using that and finding some phrases I’m sticking to for back links. I’ve done plenty with my actual domain name, have first place for that easily, now I need to work on popular, yet less targeted phrases.

Creating a brand is very much important indeed and i am sure that if you create a brand than it will be of awesome help to all. It would definitely be better if you’ll use Brand Anchor links while creating a brand. It will be of great help to get link popularity and credibility.

URL link branding is very important factor of SEO. Google keyword tool is invaluable in selecting the heavyweight words to target.

hmm… ya i think about this before. Creating a brand anchor text is more on long run.

yeah the video was really funny, i was thinking too that marketing just depends on keywords, but i was wrong because domain names also matters a lot and also when you tie up with some brand names.

  • http://www.i-tong.com Melo

So, if my domain is greatblog.com then I need to anchor it with greatblog, right? Sounds simple enough to do.

It could be beneficial to use this method once you have some rank on Google. I would think it may be easier to try to get some traffic to your site through old school link building and then try to build up a brand.

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the most powerful, and this post is a good example of that.

Great video very nice, i currently am not doing any anchor text branding on my site, but that is gonna change soon

  • Eric Beldstern

Good stuff! Branded & URL based links are definately a major SEO factor these days. I think that search terms come into play too. How many people do you think search for Ford or Toyota? That’s got to be a factor in the Brand algo.

Now – how to get people to search for my brand without spending $$$ in advertising. . .

  • tony

Good stuff, Creating a brand anchor text is more on long run, but is worth.

Great video. I think that businesses should really focus on both branded and keyword focused anchor text. If there is cause to believe that customers may be searching for the business online, then absolutely use some brand focused anchor text. Otherwise, I think it would make the most sense to focus on keywords.

Hi yes great video however if you optimize your pages correctly and use text for your brand name providing it is in ant way original you will soon rank organically for it people reading your brand name in anchor text in my opinion wont promote it all that well as part of the whole concept of branding is a visual experience that is memorable.
    Just my opinion

  • http://www.increaseyourverticalhq.com complex

The branded anchor text is a good idea actually. When im building backlinks to my site I just do it the regular way with keywords.

I shall incorporate these ideas :)

Thanks a lot, the video was quite good in helping the explanation aswell.

  • http://icycool311@hotmail.com saad

yes i would agree with you, but nways if you regestied dwdwdwdww.com , i dont think you will need to create backlinks for that because when u’ll search for wdwdwdww on search engines your site will be on top.

If it is a well know brand then people will actually click on.

    Regards,
    Saad.
