Learn How To Perform Keyword Optimization. Part 1: Defining keywords
Sunday, February 24th, 2008Let’s say you are about to set up a number of activities to make your website or blog get better results and higher rankings in the search engines. This means you want more people who search for similar topics sites or blogs get the links to your site in first place. If you do want that, you need to define keywords that:
1. Clearly describe the purpose and content of your site
2. Make your site show up as close to the top 10 results page as possible.
Obviously, search engine optimization is not all about the keywords but choosing them wrong can decline your entire search engine optimization strategy results, so it is better to do it the best possible way you can.
Your homepage.
Analyze it and write down the words and phrases that describe it precisely. Think thoroughly of two or three word phrases, because it’s virtually impossible to get a top position for single word keywords. Next step, would be analyzing the demand and supply for those keywords, and choose the ones with high demand and low supply.

It tells you if your selected keywords are popular, and provides you with other similar keywords that you may not have thought about, which may even be more relevant to your site.
