About Yahoo Buzz

With Yahoo being such a big name, the announcement of Yahoo Buzz had at that time created quite a stir. So much so, that people showed great enthusiasm to get involved with the hopes of being featured in the Yahoo.com page. However, in the beta stages things were allowed in minimalistic proportions and very few people actually got featured. What perplexed webmasters and SEO gurus was the fact that it was difficult to determine what one needed to do in order to be featured in the top page because that automatically results in many new visitors, it’s obviously an SEO dream come true. Very often sites that managed to get a few Buzz’s didn’t really feature and top stories that did not reflect much buzz statistics. The method of picking top stories was being carried out by human editors so it didn’t matter even if your content was highly buzzed.

Furthermore it has been noticed that most featured notes were Yahoo related, and of the huge number of non Yahoo stories listed, only about 5 made it to the front page. So, you may already be wondering, what are your chances? Well, as of now no one really knows because the algorithms regarding decision making are not known.
