About Google adwords

It’s almost as though Google has done a full circle by not permitting beer adwords. Now this may come as a surprise to many because Google has always held its own and barred such advertisements, and all of a sudden there’s a huge change which stands to benefit many and is at the same time quite an interesting proposition.

Google’s stance on this matter is that they evaluate keywords and adwords continuously and make changes that are suitable and stand to be profitable. So now beer, wine and champagne get to see the white flag and Google says the decision to allow such advertisements stems from the fact that since such products are intended for sale and consumption by adults, they can be bought into the realm of mainstream by simply using a non – family safe status alongside.

One way of looking at the whole thing is that Google is trying to earn more through ad revenues during these difficult financial times. So in reality alcohol ads are no longer a taboo, so one is obviously left wondering what else will enter the boundaries of safety I the days to come. Whichever way, the alcohol ads are certainly welcome and make things easier for many webmasters and SEO experts.

sure its going to help Google to earn some extra bucks, moreover this seems to be an encouraging move by them, so to cope up with the critical condition in USA.

  2. But surly they will be losing out? during tough times people are going to drink more, to help ease the pain.

Its an interesting post! I wonder what the out come will be

    nice post

  3. I have hooked up adsense on my popular site and it works a charm, I earn loads of dosh through it! I wonder how much money Google must be getting purely off of advertising on adsense alone??

  4. I am still trying to learn how to leverage adsense and adwords best, I have only been blogging for 45 days. What is the benefit of adwords vs adsense?

  5. I cant help but cast my shadow over Google now. Before I had not even known that Google had tabooed alcohol, but reading this even today made me proud of them. But as soon as I delighted I became disappointed to see them break.

And that is what they did, they broke a prior ideal, for whatever reason– and was it wisdom? eh I doubt.

btw, my company’s website pays an avg of 3.00 per adwords click into our website. Adwords drives the majority of our online sales. We budget close to $80 a day, and we are small compared to our competitors who throw into adwords almost without measure to secure the fat of the market.

I imagine google makes a good bit of their worth through adwords/adsense

Some people think that google is keeping the change in ranking very difficult to increase its earning through adwords, and I see that logical

how do i know when to start with google adwords? Everybody keeps talking about how to optimize. Nobody talks about when to enter the play ground..

I think it is very much trial and error teraOm. Do some good keyword research and try to find some long tailed keywords that aren’t too competetive. Set up a campaign but don’t use the default settings. Turn off content network and don’t let Google bid for you. Then keep testing adverts and tweaking keywords.

I don’t pretend to understand it myself!
